The Garfield Weston Foundation: supporting Women in Sport’s efforts to transform sport for every woman and girl in the UK

Thanks to the generosity of the Garfield Weston Foundation, a family-founded grant-making trust that has been supporting charities across the UK for over 50 years, we have been able to cover the costs of a number of our core activities to improve the health and well-being of women and girls by enabling them to participate in, and more fully engage with, sport.

Women cycling at a Breeze eventFunding from the Garfield Weston Foundation has been vital helping to fund Women in Sport’s core costs, allowing us to start to build solid foundations to support a wide-range of project work and ensure our sustainability. Funding to help us cover our core costs is hugely valuable as it allows us to invest in our infrastructure and means we are better positioned to deliver our projects to benefit women and girls more effectively and efficiently.
