Creating change

Women in Sport believes that sport transforms lives. Our vision is that no-one is excluded from the joy, fulfilment and lifelong benefits of sport and exercise.

To do this we use our platform to challenge gender inequalities; exposing the problem, developing concepts, policies and solutions and inspiring change through campaigning, collaboration and influence.

Our pilot projects build on our groundbreaking research and insight to deliver practical, on the ground solutions that improve the lives of women and girls. Our policy briefings/positions/statements tackle the big issues, providing policy makers in politics and the sport sector with the ideas and information to make the best decisions for women and girls.

Our campaigns open the door to sport and further the cause of equality. Our partnerships and consultancy work provides a constructive challenge to organisations who want to tackle the deep-rooted gender inequalities that exist in sport and society, to support, to learn and to be part of the solution for change.

Our Policy Positions

To achieve gender equality in sport, change needs to come from the heart of government, which can then trickle down into National Governing Bodies, clubs and schools.

Our Campaigns

We are campaigning for equality in sport – from more women in the boardroom, to equal pay and more women able to play sport.
