Run a race to fundraise for women and girls in sport

It’s pretty bleak, isn’t it? Trying to stay active when the sun sets at 4:30pm and your feet feel like blocks of ice is far from easy.

But we’ve got the perfect solution to keep you moving all while making a positive impact for women and girls in sport and society.

By taking on a challenge event for Women in Sport, you will be supporting our charity’s vision of a world where nobody is excluded from the joy, fulfilment, and lifelong benefits that sport can give.

“Sport has been such a huge part of my life and given me so much. So if there’s anything I’m going to do to ensure that other women and girls can get the same opportunities and benefits as I have, it would be running a marathon!”

Jessica, who is running the Manchester Marathon 2024 for Women in Sport.

Discounted charity race spots in 2024

At Women in Sport, we have discounted charity spaces at some of the UK’s most popular races.

The Edinburgh Marathon, Wimbledon Common Half Marathon and Manchester Marathon are just a few to choose from.

By joining team of Women in Sport runners based all around the UK, you’ll be able to enter the race at a fraction of the price, whilst raising vital funds for our charity

Whether it’s a 10km, half marathon, or the full shebang, having a future event marked on your calendar can be a powerful motivator. And why not get a friend to join you? Even on the coldest, darkest days, knowing you’re training for a meaningful cause can push you out the door and into action.

About our charity

We have been campaigning for the rights of women and girls in sport since 1984.

As the longest standing charity in this field, and a history of securing change for women and girls, we are passionate about addressing the stubborn gender inequalities that still exist.

Let’s make a difference together. You can make 2024 the year you invest in yourself and in the future of girls and women around the country.
